Last nights storm resulted in the hut at Watersmeet being flooded again, and the foundations being washed away even more. I suspect there will be much work to be done when the land dries. I already have a local builder ready to bring down several tonnes of hardcore and soil to fill the hole, but there may be some more sophisticated solutions required for the long term protection of this wonderful asset.

The day has started very windy and very bright as can be appreciated in this image of Sleets Gill looking fresh and full.

Stilts, like Thailand??
