I took a walk up and down Davey Keld today, in response to Robert Tennant’s (the farmer) request for input from the club.
Robert needs to build a small bridge across the stream and wanted our input, to ensure that what he builds protects the wildlife that thrives there.
Not unsurprisingly for Robert, the stream and the land around it was in good condition, and the water was crystal clear for this time of year.
Best of all was the abundance of fly life along the stream, which can only be a good sign for the future.

A short walk on the bottom meadow allowed me to look further afield, where the Wharfe looked fresh, clean and cold…
