Tim Scott caught a fine rainbow yesterday, skulking in the margins of the Wharfe. No-one will be surprised to know it was down by White Beck. Well done Tim!
There are more rainbows in the KAC water than most members realise. Having caught five during last season with best at 4lbs. Only one was caught below White Beck with the others from Byrom, two from just above Watersmeet and one from Black Keld. Two from the higher beats were only 4″ to 5″ long which begs the question how did they get there. It is well known that rainbows tend to travel downstream so do we have a breeding pair.?
Many years ago my son’s first trout was from that beat and it was a rainbow!

Just to be clear, it was the fish that was skulking in the margins and not Tim 🙂
